ENOVAT - European Network for Optimization of Veterinary Antimicrobial Treatment

The COST Action CA18217 European Network for Optimization of Veterinary Antimicrobial Treatment (ENOVAT) aims to optimize veterinary antimicrobial use with special emphasis on the development of animal- and disease-specific antimicrobial treatment guidelines and refinement of microbiological diagnostic procedures. The VPHI has been involved in Working Group (WG) 4 – Antimicrobial treatment guidelines, with a particular focus on the training of European researchers, as well as providing guidance and expertise on literature synthesis and the GRADE approach. Luís Pedro Carmo is one of the WG4 co-leaders, as well as a leader of the methodology taskforce.
